My name is Benjamin Tan. I am studying Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and I am looking for internship opportunities to expand my development experience. I have dedicated much of the last 5 years of my life to learning and working in software development inside and outside of the classroom. In high school I was fortunate enough to intern on 3 projects, Convergence Resource Center, Milliman and Heroes for Healthcare. These projects showed me the immense value in structured workflow, taking critical feedback, and keeping an open mind. In addition to software development, however, I have pursued music in the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and enjoyed conducting leadership trainings and earning my Eagle Scout rank in the Scouting program. These programs have kept me open-minded and creative outside of the classroom and taught me how to be a valuable team member which I was able to practice in my past development projects. While I have enjoyed my extensive experience in web development, I am eager to learn more and work on a variety of different projects.
